Pre Season Opener
The Dolphins opened up the 2011 season with their first of (5) preseason games vs the Moreno Valley Mercury, one of the long running teams in minor league football for 17 years along with the Dolphins. The game was held at San Bernardino high school in the early afternoon heat. The Phines got on the board first, with a TD run by RB Heath Jackson. Then Mercury fought back to go up 12-6. QB Jason Smith connected on a 80 yard TD pass to TE Lamont Kinard to tie the game 12-12. Dolphins put the game away late in the 4th with a quarterback sneak by Kardal Washington. And with an intercepion by DB Guillermo Garnica to seal the win 18-12.
